Amado Garcés started shining shoes for 10 cents downtown Kerrville Tx in 1943. He kept a nickel for himself and gave a nickel to the store owner. Thus, beginning his cobbler career. He maintained 6 people at one time working in the Shoe Shop. Amado specialized in handmade belts, boot and shoe repair and orthopedic buildups. His son Ernest Delgado has taken over the business.
Ernest Delgado grew up in the Shoe Shop. Learning to repair boots and shoes since the 10th grade. Not only does Ernest do Boot & Shoe repair, he specializes in Orthopedic & Prosthesis Prescriptions for the Disabled, Handicap, Senior Citizens, Veterans & Artificial Limb Customers. We fix belts, boots, gun holsters, handcuff holders, tarps, straps, leashes for the Law Enforcement, Fire Dept, Sheriff's Dept, 1st Responders & Public Safety. We service the V.A. Medical Center, Texas Lions Camp, Texas State Hospital, Peterson Medical Center and all Nursing Homes. Also Cowboys, Ranchers, Farmers need all their leather gear working properly to perform their daily duties. Actually all our customers need their leather goods & gear fixed in order to function daily.
